Dental Bonding
Dental bonding, also known as composite resin bonding, refers to a range of restorative procedures used to fill decayed teeth or repair chips, cracks or severe stains.
Bonding first employs a microscopic etching process to prepare the surface of the tooth so the resin material will "bond" appropriately. The resin is colored to precisely match existing tooth color and is sculpted into shape to create beautiful and perfect replacements of problem teeth or areas.
Dr. Kourosh Maddahi has been expertly trained in this etching and sculpting process and his experience in the Beverly Hills area is unrivaled.
The tricky part of composite resin bonds is the skill it takes to match existing teeth for a great look and flawless feel. Having teeth sit in the mouth comfortably is just as important as how good they look to others or in the mirror.
Kourosh Maddahi, DDS, uses the Shade Vision camera to correctly fine-tune coloring to perfection. With a computerized camera aimed at the teeth the Shade Vision System interprets the variations of hue, value, and color of each tooth in order to map the shade of the porcelain restoration exactly while saving the reading on the computer screen.
"The only way that I am certain that I can get a perfect natural match is with the Shade Vision System.", Dr. Maddahi explains. "Sitting in my dental chair, you are surrounded by the most advanced dental technology available. Much of these have never before been found in a dentist's office."
